From A to P

Before we dive into what we have to offer, a quick introduction is in order. Because: AP, who? AP, where? AP, what does that even stand for? Let's take you back in time. AP University of Applied Sciences and Arts was born from the 2013 merger of two Antwerp-based universities of applied sciences: Artesis and Plantijn. A success story, as it turned out. Today, we're one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Flanders, with a diverse range of programmes. The renowned Schools of Arts, the Academy and the Conservatory, are also part of AP.

AP is also the A of Antwerp, our home base. The heart of our programmes beats in this city. Want to grab a quick coffee during your break? Perfect spot for it, but even more importantly, the professional field is right on your doorstep. Through strong partnerships, students get hands-on practical experience and a real head start on the job market. On top of that, our institution is itself a centre of expertise and a driver of research and innovative development, together with regional and international partners.
