Welcome to the registration platform for the Psycholinguistics in Flanders (PiF) conference. This year’s conference is going to take place from Monday 29th to Wednesday 31st May at Ghent university, Campus Dunant (Henri Dunantlaan 2, 9000 Gent).
The conference will feature keynote lectures by Steven Frisson (University of Birmingham) and Shanley Allen (Technical University of Kaiserslautern). Additionally, there will be a special satellite symposium dedicated to Dominiek Sandra (University of Antwerp) on Monday 29th May and an information session on Open Science practices on Wednesday 31st May, which is particularly suited for early-career researchers (but open to everyone).
In addition to the exciting academic program, PiF 2023 offers two engaging social events for attendees. On Monday, we invite you to join us for a two-hour guided walk to explore Ghent's vibrant street art and graffiti scene (https://www.gentsegidsen.be/en/tours/guided/graffiti-street-art-stories-behind-paint/). On Tuesday, we will host a conference dinner at the 'Wereldkeuken’ – the ‘world kitchen’, a restaurant known for its diverse and delicious cuisine (https://wereldkeukengent.be/).
Note that May 29th is the Monday after Whitsunday (Pinksteren, Pfingsten, Pentecôte), which is a religious holiday in Belgium, Germany, France, and the Netherlands; it is also a school vacation in some countries. This means that prizes will be higher, and hotels possibly booked solid closer to the date. We recommend you organize your accommodation as soon as possible.
