Description

What do you learn in this postgraduate programme?

With people living longer nowadays, there is more emphasis on ability to keep functioning, staying healthy and hence contribute to society for a longer lifetime. In order to effectuate these aspects, more focus needs to be placed on the use and knowledge of technology in the domains of prevention, vitality and rehabilitation. The main objective of this programme is to educate a new type of health professional that combines competencies in regard to prevention, vitality and rehabilitation in primary care (physiotherapy) with competencies in medical engineering, ICT and technology.

Our pillars?

  • Rehabilitation / healthcare: You will learn about the identification and tracking of patients, more personalized care, better rehabilitation fit to the specific needs of patients, and new methods of rehabilitation.
  • Human sustainability: We aim to maintain and improve the human capital in society. Investments in health and educational systems, access to services, knowledge and skills are all programs under the umbrella of human sustainability.
  • Technology: You will become an expert in technological solutions for challenges in prevention, vitality and rehabilitation to enhance personalized patient care. In the end, this will lead to the prevention or delay of functional decline and more effective rehabilitation strategies for patients. You will also gain transversal skills that will allow you to form a bridge between health care, technology and business/industry, and to manage and communicate your projects in the digital era.
